Sal is supporting Tim Farron for Lib Dem President
I am delighted that Tim Farron MP is standing for election for the presidency of the Liberal Democrats, and I want to give him my full support.
Tim is a man of absolute principle, who is a real liberal radical to his fingertips. He's also a brilliant campaigner, who has shown how a dedicated local MP can turn a marginal seat that he took off the Tories into a 12,000 majority in 2010.
But equally importantly, for the key role of the President he really understands the party, what makes it tick, and how we need to work together to keep our party's voice distinctive during the Coalition, and work together for future success. Following Baroness Ros Scott will be a tough act, but I am confident that Tim can do that. And he'll do it with passion, humour and dedication.
